Indeed, we often already know the answer but need to explore options, look at different perspectives and build on our ideas. A sounding board is great for a wide variety of areas such as starting or growing a business, career transition, leadership development and building confidence.
I have had my own sounding boards that have supported me in my thinking often to gain the clarity and focus that I needed.
